Benjamin Jeffrey Brant

May 5, 1951 - April 4, 2021

Benjamin Jeffrey Brant, known as Jeff to most friends and family, passed away on Easter Sunday April 4, 2021. Jeff was one month shy of 70. Originally from Kokomo, Indiana, Jeff and his wife Sally moved to Colorado in 1975, and have called Evergreen home for 45 years. Jeff earned a B.S. in agriculture from the University of Arizona with a major in environmental design and landscape architecture. He also earned a Master of Science in Regional and Urban Planning from the University of Colorado.

Jeff had a brilliant, innovative and creative mind. As a visionary, Jeff’s life’s work was focused on sustainable farming, renewable energy, and clean water. He worked for the National Park service for a short time then spent the majority of his time as an entrepreneur trying to the “nudge the world in a better direction.”

Jeff was an amazing, joyful, charismatic and loving man. He loved the outdoors and made sure the birds were fed each day. Other loves were cross-country skiing, mountain biking and taking daily walks with Sally. He loved music, and played both bass and guitar. He loved and adored his wife and two sons. Jeff’s grandchildren held a particularly special place in his heart and he made every effort to be a part of each school assembly, show, music recital, or sports game.

May his legacy live on and not be forgotten. All the thousands of prayers and messages made such a difference to all of us- thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

“The very first Easter taught us this: that life never ends and love never dies.” -Kate McGahan

We love you Dad and may you rest in eternal peace. Jeff is survived by his wife Sally, sons Beau and Taylor, and three grandchildren, Nolan, Clara, and Pearson.
