Christensen, John “Jack” Thomas

October 18, 1936 - December 29, 2016

christensenchristensen80, of Evergreen, Colorado passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016.

He is survived by Dolores Christensen of Evergreen; and sons Aaron (Robin) Christensen of Alamosa and  Ryan Christensen of Denver.

For over thirty-five years, Jack Christensen worked applying rules, regulations and securities law using the regulatory apparatus in financial markets.  His experiences were in offices in San Francisco, California, Washington, D.C., and Denver, Colorado.  He was supportive to attorneys in arbitrations, litigations both in the state and federal courts.  He handled negotiations and/or litigation of formal cases against parties involved in the regulatory process, which involved broker/dealers and public customers.

Jack also served as a consultant and expert witness in numerous securities cases throughout the United States.

He served as Captain in the USMC, worked as District Director for the Nat’l Assoc. of Securities Dealers in San Francisco, California, Washington D.C., and Denver; as well as serving as Principal of four Securities Firms in the Denver area. 

He made his home in Evergreen for over 35 years, raising a family, serving in the past the Board of Hiwan Hills Homeowners Improvement Association and Evergreen Metro. Water District while managing his own Fordham Financial Company.

“Work and no play makes a dull boy!”  His love for sports and hardly ever excluded, were basketball, football and baseball competitions in national leagues as well as college were included up to the time of his illness.

    Aunt Dolores, Ryan and Aaron: I will always remember Uncle Jack for his love of our family and his willingness to help when needed. He was quick to offer advice when asked and he had a brilliant mind. He had a great sense of humor too. I’ll miss his voice and his gentle ways. I’m so sorry he had to go through this illness. I know he wasn’t ready. He loved all of you so much. My deepest condolences and prayers for peace in your hearts and may he rest in peace.
