(303) 674-7750 Helping During a Time of Loss

Donald Bruce O’Brien

February 12, 1942 - November 20, 2018

Donald Bruce O’Brien, 76, passed away on Nov. 20, 2018, in Lakewood.

Donald was a resident of Evergreen.

Donald was survived by his wife, Carolyne O’Brien; sons Todd (Annette

Lindsay) O’Brien and Kevin (Jenna) O’Brien; and daughters Heather O’Brien, Ashley O’Brien and Kim (Kevin) Watson.

Don Obrien was born in Louisville Kentucky , he was the son of William Wade Jr. and Juanita Ruth Cummins . He was a wonder wonderful husband and father to many . I’m not sure I can really express just how much I will miss him.
Not only was he a wonderful husband, but a wonderful father,  best friend, … and so much more.
It has been nearly 10 years since we were first married and I look back over those years with so much happiness.
Don’s ability to make everyone feel comfortable, secure and loved were some of his greatest strengths.
Don was always such a gentleman—well mannered and polite, but always quiet with a witty remark.
He always encouraged us be involved in life—he brought out the best in all of us.

He was my soul mate and my inspiration—my steadfast rock that helped me through thick and thin.
Don supported and loved us all, and was always there to help navigate through life’s challenges.

Don is in a better place now, for he is no longer in pain and suffering . May his soul rest in eternal peace. Fare thee well my Donnie, you shall forever remain in my heart.

Goodbye, my dear, sweet husband, and God bless.

Condolences

Don loved cars! I see him now, cruising with the windows down, wind in his hair. No sickness, no pain. That lovely smile and not a care in the world. RIP, Don.

My prayers and condolences to the family. Don was part of the hiring team at Oracle who brought me on board. While I only knew him for a short while, he was such a good soul with contagious character! I personally feel there is a shortage of people like him in the world and I will miss him deeply.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Don’s passing. My deepest sympathy for your loss. I worked wit Don from the early days at Sun Micro until recently. Loved hearing his stories about Water skiing and the days he spent at the Kentucky Derby.
    Kind regards,
    David
