Until we meet again our son, brother, uncle, uncle Matty to children, friend:

Matthew Stuart Scheel met his Lord on September 19, 2018 from a cerebral aneurism at his home,11887 Navajo Trail, Conifer, Colorado.

Matt was born April 4, 1968 in Grand Junction, Colorado. In May 1970 he came to Conifer, Colorado with his family. He attended elementary and middle school in Aspen Park. He graduated Evergreen High School in 1987. He earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, Colorado in 1993. After briefly working in the industry as a designer, Matt founded his own design-build services firm, Architrades. He worked on a wide variety of projects in the Denver, Boulder, and his beloved mountain communities.  BMS Architectural Design Services was established with Steve Brockman in 2013, Matthew principle Architectural Designer.

In 2003 he desired to give back to his community and began serving as a volunteer fire fighter and emergency medical technician. Matt loved serving his fire community at Christmas and at the Big Chili. He enjoyed serving with St. Anthony at the stock show and Bandimere events.  He often was top Fire & Rescue responder.

May the God of all comfort sustain you as you await the promises found at John 5:28,29 and Rev. 21:4 where God promises to do away with all the things that cause us suffering and pain including death here on the earth forever. (Psalm 37:29) It is my sincere hope that these thoughts comfort your family at this time.

Memories of Matthew permeate my entire childhood, from teasing older brotherish type to beloved friend as we’ve grown up. He has always been a member of my chosen family, and a member of the pack I call home in my heart. A friend I have come to turn to more and more frequently as my life has become more complicated, and now one who will no doubt join forces with me in spirit, overlooking the care I provide to others as a nurse and fellow first responder.
Ah Matty, I will miss your laugh and our talks the most. Godspeed my friend. We will meet again.

This earthly life there is a place that only he could fill and he filled it well.
    The Lord’s got him now.
