Nancy L. Stackhouse

December 20, 1945 - January 29, 2020


Nancy passed away suddenly at home in Evergreen Colorado on January 29, 2020.  Nancy was born in Wellesley MA in 1945 and raised in the Boston area. She graduated from North Reading High School and Southern Connecticut State College before beginning her career in accounting.  Nancy Leighton visited Berkeley California in 1969 where she met her future husband, David Stackhouse. After her marriage in 1971, she moved to the Bay Area of California. She raised her family in the town of Sebastopol CA.  She moved to Evergreen to enjoy the Colorado mountain lifestyle in 1995.  She loved skiing, hiking, walking, and fly fishing in Colorado.  Nancy is survived by her husband David and children Amy of Dillon CO and Keith of Edgewater CO. She is also survived by her sister Susan Leighton Grillo and her husband Rich Grillo of Newbury Mass. Other survivors include numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends across the country.  Nancy was predeceased by her sister Judy Hoyt and parents Brad and Lois Leighton, and in-laws Marjorie and Wilson Stackhouse.
