(303) 674-7750 Helping During a Time of Loss

Russell William Kuziak

February 15, 1952 - September 24, 2018

Russell William Kuziak, 66, of Idaho Springs, Colorado passed away in his home on September 24, 2018.  He attended and graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1970.  He attended Colorado State University, Metropolitan State University and Community College of Aurora.  He was self-employed as a plumber, but also worked for several businesses located in Georgetown, Idaho Springs, and the mine north of Empire.  He loved the outdoors, often walking in the woods, viewing wildlife, while contemplating life’s issues.  He loved fishing along Clear Creek (mainly), but also went to the Granby area, Colorado River, Williams Fork Reservoir, and other locations in Colorado and he loved animals and recused dogs and cats from the shelter in Idaho Springs.  He was huge fan of his beloved Denver Broncos.  He loved to write musical lyrics and prose.  He loved singing songs, while playing his guitar, either alone or with his next door neighbor.  He loved his mother, calling her two or three times a day, making sure she was okay.  They discussed anything and everything.
