Stephen Steve W. “Buckle” Shute

May 24, 1944 - February 21, 2020

Steve Shute, 75, of Lafayette, Colorado, passed away on February 21, 2020 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.  Steve was battling Parkinson’s disease for many years.  Steve Graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962 and then attended the University of Colorado.  He worked as the Account Sales Manager for Mother’s Cake and Cookie Co. He retired in 2005.  Steve enjoyed playing golf, fishing, loved watching his grandkids participate in sporting events.

He also was a member of the Denver Junior Police Band (Trumpet) and played in the President Kennedy’s Inaugural Parade.  He had a private pilot license and was a self-taught computer “geek”.   Steve married Judy J. Austin on September 5, 1964 and they were happily married for 55 plus years.

Steve is survived by his wife, two daughters; Amy (Scott) West & Stephanie (Doug) Joseph.  Four Grandchildren; Katy Jo, Tanner, Wyatt, Brady.  Two Great Grandchildren; Jaxyn, Amelia Kate.  Steve also has a sister, Rosemary (Mark) Lowe and a brother, John Shute.
