Born on November 14, 1953, in Denver, CO, to Gerald R. Maul and D'Arlene Ann Overstake, Carole’s life was marked by her remarkable warmth, compassion, and deep love for her family. She was a woman of unwavering strength and grace, facing life's challenges with a spirit that was nothing short of inspiring. Through a long and courageous battle with health issues, Carole never lost her fighting spirit, and her perseverance continues to inspire all who knew her.
Carole shared a beautiful life with her husband, Robert Dale Burkitt, of 50 years, building a home that was a sanctuary of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they raised three wonderful children, Eric M. Allen, Mellisa (Allen) Kroh, and Robert G. Burkitt, who were the hearts of her world. Carole’s pride and joy also extended to her grandchildren, Landon Allen, Hope Allen, Talan Burkitt, and Makenna Burkitt, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
