Daniel R Jergensen

Daniel R Jergensen of Como, CO passed away unexpectedly on July 15^th, 2023, at the age of 71.  Daniel was born July 8^th, 1952 to Robert and Jane (Beuck) at Fitzsimmons Hospital in Aurora, CO.  He graduated from Aurora Hinkley High School in 1970. There he was a center for the high school football team and met his future wife.  They married in 1971, had two wonderful daughters and celebrated 52 years of marriage.  Daniel made a career of working as a mail carrier for US Postal Service and retired in 2007 after 34 years of service. His retirement brought him to Park County where he and his wife built a log home to spend their remaining years.

Daniel enjoyed spending time with his wife, visits from family members and friends, being Papa to his four beloved grandchildren, and most importantly reading and studying God’s word.  He never gave up on two of his favorite things which were CU Football (GO BUFFS) and Indy Car Racing and Mexican Food. Those traditions were in his blood and were passed down to the rest of his family.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Beverly (Burns); two daughters – Lara  (Kevin) Otto of Erie, CO; Kirstine (Greg) Piper of Hartsel, CO; four grandchildren – Grant and Gillian of Erie, CO and David and Daniel of Hartsel, CO.

A Celebration of Life will be hosted on Saturday, September 30^th between 10 AM to 2 PM.  A taco bar will be served from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at
