Debra Siegel Tyber

March 2, 1953 — April 10, 2025

Breckenridge, Colorado

Debbie Siegel Tyber, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at her home on April 10, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 72.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Stanley and Rachel Siegel, Debbie’s life was defined by her warmth, creativity, and her adventurous spirit. She graduated from Georgia State University and the University of California, Berkeley, achievements that reflect her lifelong love of learning and curiosity about the world.

Debbie’s marriage to her devoted husband Harold marked the beginning of a partnership—filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures—that would span 51 years until her passing. She and Harold explored the world together, living several years abroad in Australia and traveling extensively but always returning to Colorado, her happy place. She enjoyed birding, hiking, and skiing, but quilting and knitting became her passion. Debbie’s artistry lives on in the beautiful quilts and sweaters she created for family and friends. Her legacy of craftsmanship and creativity will be cherished for generations.

Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Rachel. She is survived by her husband Harold, her sister, Dara, and her brother, David. She leaves behind her sons, Jeffrey and Steven, her two cherished daughters-in-law, Camille and Shanshan, and her four wonderful grandchildren, all of whom filled her days with pride and joy.

Debbie’s strength, decisiveness, and grace shone throughout her life—especially during her illness. She faced every challenge with determination and an unwavering spirit, inspiring all who knew her.

Her family and friends will remember Debbie for her kindness, her sense of adventure, and the beauty she brought into the world through her art and her love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May her memory be a blessing to her family and all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Common Spirit Bristlecone Home Health Services in Debbie’s memory, so that they can provide others in our Colorado community with the same love and care she received during her treatment.
