George Michael Sather

George Michael Sather, known affectionately as Mike, passed away on December 23, 2023 in Dumont at the age of 71. Born on June 11, 1952 in Washington, George had a fulfilling life filled with love, hard work, and dedication. His passing leaves behind a void in the lives of his family and friends that will be difficult to fill.

George was well-respected for his career in Auto Upholstery and HVAC. He approached his work with integrity and skill, earning the trust of many who sought his expertise. Co-workers and clients alike admired George's commitment to excellence and his strong work ethic.

Beyond his professional pursuits, George will be remembered as a super nice guy who helped anyone and everyone. He was known for his kind heart and willingness to lend a hand whenever needed. George's honesty was one of his defining qualities, making him a trustworthy friend to all who knew him.

A devoted husband to Kathleen Sather, George cherished their marriage and the love they shared. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family that brought them immense joy and fulfillment. George's proudest accomplishments were becoming a loving father to Travis and Trevor – he loved them unconditionally and dedicated himself to providing them with everything they needed to thrive.

George valued family above all else. He cherished the memories created alongside his loved ones during gatherings and celebrations. His presence brought warmth and laughter into the lives of those around him. Many will remember him as the life of the party – someone who had a natural talent for keeping everyone entertained.

George served in the army where he was stationed in Germany. During that time, he provided invaluable training for troops bound for Vietnam. George's service to his country was a testament to his dedication and bravery.

George found solace and joy in riding his beloved Harley Davidson. The freedom that the open road brought and embraced the sense of adventure that came with every journey. Riding alongside fellow enthusiasts, George created lasting memories and formed deep bonds with like-minded individuals.

A celebration of George's life will take place on February 16, 2024 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO. The gathering will commence at 9:00 AM in Staging Area C. Friends, family, and all those whose lives were touched by George are welcome to attend this event.
