Jared Michael Dose

Jared Michael Dose, 40, left us unexpectedly on January, 27, 2025 at his home in Evergreen, Colorado.

Jared was born on November 14, 1984 in Ida Grove, Iowa to Randy and Nancy Dose. Growing up in Evergreen, he played football but had a passion for playing rugby, and eventually coaching. Jared graduated from Colorado State University with a business degree focused in Supply Chain Management.

Jared met his wife, Heather, in Missouri when he took a position with Cargill Meat Solutions. They married on September 27, 2014 and fully emersed themselves in creating their home in Colorado with their two dogs Wendy and Weston, hiking and snowboarding whenever possible. On January 17, 2022, they welcomed a son, William Charles.

A kid at heart, Jared enjoyed the simplicities of being a dad to William. Swimming, playing monster trucks, teaching him about football and most recently building a good, sustaining fire …he was patient, compassionate and present.

He flourished as an uncle to nephews Sam and Owen attending swim meets, baseball games, birthday parties and award ceremonies. It did not matter – he always showed up. 

As he is reunited with his mom Nancy and Grandpa Bud, he is survived by his wife Heather; son, William; dad Randy; sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Nathanael Koch; and nephews, Sam and Owen.

His Celebration of Life is Tuesday, February 4 at 10:00 am with a visitation, followed by a service at 11:00 am at Evergreen Lutheran Church, 5980 County Hwy 73, Evergreen, CO 80439.
