Judy Jean Shute

1943 - 2021

Judy Jean Shute went to heaven on Thursday, November 18, 2021. She was 78 years old. Judy resided in Lafayette, Colorado, where she lived for 22 years.

Judy was born in June 1943 in Greeley, Colorado to Arden and Helen Austin of Eaton, Colorado. Judy had one brother, Dale (deceased) and two sisters, Shirley and Barbara.  In her younger years she attended school in Eaton. The family eventually moved to Estes Park, CO where she graduated from Estes Park High School in 1961.   Judy married Stephen W Shute (deceased) in September of 1964.  They raised two daughters, Amy and Stephanie. Judy worked hard every day taking good care of her family and home.

Judy enjoyed going to the mountains, especially Rocky Mountain National Park, to look for and observe wildlife. She especially loved Elk. She and Steve had season tickets to the Denver Bronco games for many, many years. Judy also loved watching her kids and grandkids at their various activities. 

Judy is survived by her daughters Amy West (Scott) and Stephanie Joseph (Doug), grandchildren Katy Jo, Tanner, Wyatt, and Brady, and great-grandchildren Jaxyn Grey and Amelia (Milly) Kate. She is also survived by her two sisters Shirley Nock and Barbara Austin (Dale M.) and sister-in-law Jean Austin (Dale).

Judy is predeceased by her husband Steve, brother Dale Austin, and brother-in-law Bud Nock (Shirley)

A Celebration of Life will be held for Judy on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Noon (12:00 pm)
