Judy Jean Jipsen

Judy Jean Jipsen, the daughter of Luin and Zilda (Coons) Jipsen was born August 20, 1945, in Cass County, Iowa. She passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on November 15, 2024, at the Advent Health Hospice Facility in Centennial, Colorado at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 26 days. Judy was raised on the family farm south of Wales, Iowa. She attended school in Wales and Red Oak, graduating in 1963 from Red Oak High School. While in school, Judy was a cheerleader and played basketball. After attending college in Des Moines, Judy began her lifelong career with the federal government, landing her in Denver, Colorado in 1978 where she met the love of her life, G. Patrick “Pat” Stueber.

Judy had a love for many things which included shopping, traveling, going to concerts, plays and musicals, and spending time with her grandchildren, who she adored. She also had many, many friends that she met over the years that she stayed in contact with, as once you met her you became part of her. She never knew a stranger and her smile would light up a room, along with a laugh that you would recognize anywhere.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband Pat; her parents; sister, Evelyn; brother, Dwaine; niece, Deanna Jacobs; and nephews, Bryce and Kenny Jipsen. She is survived by her grandchildren, Reed (Brooke), Riley, Alex, and Melinda; her daughters-in-law, Lori and Pattie; sister-in-law, Ada Jipsen; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

There will be a celebration of life gathering on December 8, 2024, from 2-4 at Pat Pauline’s home, 3473 E Euclid Ave, Centennial, CO.

A family graveside service will be held at the Gomer Cemetery in Wales, Iowa on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
