Laura Johnson Burrow, 70 years old, died Sunday, October 30th after fighting an aggressive cancer. She was born February 15, 1952 to Lloyd and Barbara (Northam) Johnson in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Her father Lloyd was an avid outdoorsman and her mother passed too soon when Laura was 11. Her sister Robyn Johnson was her constant confidant until her death in 2019. She earned a BA Degree in Russian from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and her Master’s Degree from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She taught middle and high school for many years in addition to volunteering for Rocky Mountain PBS and served on the board of Mountain Resource Center. She relished many travel adventures especially in retirement. She is survived by her husband Jarrel (Jake) Burrow of Conifer, Colorado, her children William Burrow (Nathan Heffel) of Lakewood, Colorado and Elizabeth Taylor (Justin Taylor) of Modena, Italy. She cherished her role as Amma to her granddaughter Maya Burrow. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 7th at 11:00 am, followed by a reception at the Evergreen Memorial Park.
