Mariah Celisse Lefford left us unexpectedly on February 4, 2025, at home in Evergreen. Her family and friends will forever miss her beautiful light and her dancing spirit. Mariah was born on February 13, 2002, along with her twin sister, Jessica, to Marshall and Maggie Lefford. She was born a gentle, sensitive, and observing soul. She loved her family and twin sister dearly, along with her animal companions. Her good friends were always included in her soft and steady heart. Mariah grew up mostly in Evergreen with her twin sister, Jessica. She was happiest spending time creating imaginative productions and plays with her sister and other best friend. Mariah loved to dance and was a beautiful, stunning dancer. She spent years choreographing and competing at Kinetic Arts. Mariah played the violin in orchestra from 4th grade through high school. She was always encouraging and taught others to be compassionate, kind, patient, and empathetic.
Mariah and Jessica were very close. Together, they loved to hike, do yoga, explore and laugh. Mariah also had a special connection with her mom, Maggie. They bonded with each other rehearsing choreography and loved adventures in nature together. Mariah graduated from Evergreen High School in 2020, with high honors. In 2024, she graduated with distinction from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. Her minor was in dance.
Mariah is reunited with her four grandparents, her godmother, her cousin, Adam, and her beloved dog Melmo. She is survived by her parents, Maggie and Marshall, her twin sister, Jessica, uncles and aunts, Mark and Shelly, Frank and Terry, and Anne, and cousins, Samantha, Michelle, and Tammy. Mariah’s Celebration of Life is at Aspen Ridge Church, 27154 N Turkey Creek Road, Evergreen, CO, on Friday, March 7th, 2025, at 1:00pm. Reception to follow.
