Robert Reid Lerch, a longtime resident of Breckenridge, CO, died from a long illness on December 26, 2024, at the age of 65 at home in Breckenridge.
Reid was born in Chattanooga, TN on June 30, 1959, to Walter Lerch Jr and Virginia Lerch (Guth). He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Chattanooga, and attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

He moved to Breckenridge, became an avid downhill skier and ski technician working in the Summit County ski resorts of Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin and Keystone.
Reid retired in November 2024, after 17 years with Summit Mountain Rentals in Breckenridge. His favorite pastimes were skiing, hiking, fishing, camping and walking Colorado mountain trails with friends and his ever-faithful Black Labrador, Charlie.
Reid is preceded in death by his parents, Walter A Lerch Jr and Virginia Guth Lerch, and brother Walter Richard Lerch, Chattanooga.
Left behind to cherish Reid’s memory are his longtime friend and companion, Rita Himmelman, and her sons Jake and Zak Himmelman, Breckenridge; his sister Jane Ann (Robert) Laub, Nashville TN; nephews Joseph (Rachel) Laub, Brookline MA; Michael Laub, Chattanooga; his aunt Shirley Guth Evans, and cousins Dee (Greg) Menefee, and Christine (Chris) Gardner, Southern Shores NC.
