Robert Martinez, Jr.

On Tuesday January 17, 2023 our family experienced a devastating loss but oh what a glorious day for our beloved father, grandfather, brother, son and friend Robert Martinez Jr., for he has entered through the gates of Heaven! 

Bob took his first breath of life on December 24, 1955 as his parents Robert and Bessie Martinez rejoiced over their new beautiful baby boy. Bobby, as many would call him growing up, is a Colorado native and resided in Denver most of his life. He finished out the remainder of his days in the quiet suburbs of Littleton over looking what always seemed to enthrall his gentle spirit the most - Colorado’s  purple mountain majesty skyline. 

Bob was a simple man, his eyes were kind and all those who knew him eagerly wanted to be in the presence of his smile. His laughter was contagious, he shared happiness that  overflowed and his wisdom and intelligence captivated our minds; but it was his passion for loving others well that secured the hearts of those who adore him. He was a man of intentionality, his words provided comfort and safety and his integrity would bring great honor to his family. His love for others had no end.

As the arms of our Mighty Redeemer welcome our beloved home, Bob will also celebrate in the joyous presence of his earthly father Robert Sr. who has gone ahead of him. As Bob patiently awaits for his loved ones’ glorious day, he is survived by his mother Bessie Martinez, siblings Ricky, Pauline, Ronnie, Steven and his nieces and nephews. 

Bob leaves a legacy of beauty, strength, passion, and courage behind with his children Robert III (Angelina) Martinez, Kristen (Lt. Col. Stephen) Jenkins; step-children Andy (Rachel), Tracy (Ricky) Meier; grandchildren Deanndra (Hayden), Shanya, Tajh, Robert, Dominick, Talon, Tyson, Trey; and great grandchildren Leo, Darian, Tripp, Sloan, and Lincoln. 

In honor of the gentle soul that touched and changed our lives forever a celebration service will be held for our beloved Robert Martinez Jr.
