Russell "Russ" William Ferguson

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Russell William Ferguson, a loving husband and father, cherished brother, and dear friend. Russ passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, at the age of 70, in his Pine, Colorado, home with his devoted wife Annette by his side.

Russ was born on October 26, 1954, in Fort Morgan, Colorado to Sylvia and Clifton Ferguson. He graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1972 and built a meaningful career as an irrigation supervisor, specializing in installation and advanced irrigation systems. Russ was admired for his dedication and expertise in his field.

In 1990, Russ married the love of his life, Annette Bonneau, on the shores of San Diego, California. Russ’ pride and joy were his children and grandchildren, all of whom brought him endless happiness.

Russ loved the great outdoors and spent much of his time climbing Colorado's majestic fourteeners, hiking, and skiing. He had a deep appreciation for nature and adventure, which he shared with his family and friends.

Russ is survived by his wife, Annette; children, Christin (Nathan) Pappas, Theresa Clark, and Lucas (Karlee Gleason) Ferguson; grandchildren; Kingston, Hallie, Cash, Evi, Silas, Arlo, and Gracie, and his brothers Randy, Robb, and Rich. Along with many loving aunts, uncles, sisters-in-laws, mother-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews. His unwavering kind spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service to celebrate Russ’s life will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park on February 1, 2025, at 10 a.m. In honor of Russ' adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors, the family kindly asks attendees to share stories of his life and bring their fondest memories. Russell William Ferguson will forever remain in our hearts, a shining example of love, dedication, and joy.
