Timothy Scott Lenaghen Kirkland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tim Kirkland, who departed from this world from heart failure at the age of 55 on March 25, 2024, at his home in Denver, Colorado, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Tim will be remembered as a devoted husband to Lori and a doting father to his daughters Addi and Charli. He was a beacon of love and support in their lives, always putting family first.  Raised in Denver, Tim attended Holy Family High School before pursuing higher education at Creighton University and eventually the Harvard Kennedy School. His thirst for knowledge and adventure led him to Japan, where he taught English and ignited his passion for travel—an enthusiasm he shared with his beloved wife and children.   Tim's professional journey was as vibrant as his spirit. He began his career as a "soda jerk," which laid the foundation for his lifelong involvement in the restaurant industry. With years spent bartending, managing, and eventually owning nightclubs, Tim's expertise in hospitality knew no bounds. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to found the Renegade Hospitality Group, where he not only excelled as a businessman for the past 17 years, but also as an author, consultant and public speaker, inspiring countless individuals with his wisdom and insight.   Tim's impact extended far beyond his professional accomplishments. He possessed an infectious charm and an unwavering commitment to making others feel valued. His larger-than-life personality and genuine warmth left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.

Services to honor Tim's life will be held on May 3, 2024, at 1:00 PM at The Barn in Evergreen, located at 26624 N Turkey Creek Rd., Evergreen, CO 80439. Chaps required; jorts optional. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to an Education Fund for Tim’s daughters. Following the service, guests are invited to share appetizers and libations as they reminisce about the wonderful memories Tim created.

In the wake of Tim's passing, we find solace in the profound impact he had on our lives. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be eternally missed.
