As Todd was known for saying." Doing what he did best, pissing the world off". Todd Earl Cunningham, 62, of Fort. Collins, Colorado, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 10 am in Greeley, Colorado, surrounded by family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm. Saturday, April 5, 2025, in the Evergreen Memorial in Evergreen, Colorado. Arrangements are under the personal car of Evergreen Memorial Funeral and Cremation Services.
He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 9th, 1963, to Dean and Joan Cunningham, who were devoted parents and caring members of the community.
Todd married the love of his life, Aurora (Candy) on March 21st, 2015, in Castle Rock Colorado. He enjoyed being part of her work. He would help with school events and just being close to each other in what each of them did in their work. .
Todd was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Joan Cunningham, his brother Ryan Cunningham, and his sister Keri Hogan. He is survived by his wife Aurora (Candy) Cunningham, his children Blaine Cunningham, DJ (Andrea) Cunningham, Kallie (Alex) Cunningham, stepchildren Jacob Morales and Scott Green, his siblings Kimm (Doran) Smith, Ricci (Alan) Cross, and his grandchildren Daizie, Ariel, Carter, Zeke, Xander, Deklyn and Isabel.
Todd had three biological children, Blaine, DJ, and Kallie and two step sons , Jacob and Scottie. Todd loved all of his kids very much and tried to at least text them all on a regular basis, although most of those texts were just quotes from movies and TV shows.
Todd left high school at a young age and began to travel around the country with his family before eventually ending up in Colorado in 1994 where he has lived ever since. In his lifetime, Todd has worked many jobs, even working two jobs at a time, from throwing the newspaper, to working in the postal service, to being a truck driver. Todd would do whatever it took to make sure his family was taken care of.
Todd loved to go shooting/hunting and golfing with his father Dean. He enjoyed going out to restaurants; Chili’s was his favorite. He could sit down and tell stories with his mother, Joan for hours. While growing up Todd was known as a rebellious child. Dean and Joan both used to say the local cops knew him on a first named basis.
Todd treasured his time with his grandkids and loved being their papa. When he was around, he always tried to put smiles on their faces making sure to always have some kind of treat or snack with him that he could share.
Todd had a soft spot for his dogs, treating each and every one like the valuable family member they were. If he wasn't working, he hadToodles, his Yorkie who passed a few years ago. Later, Todd and Candy adopted 2 female Maltese dogs, Piper and Cinnamon. He loved his dogs right by his side. Everywhere he went the dogs came with him.
Todd will always be remembered for his smile and the way that they always tried to make others laugh. He was known as a man that would make a joke out of every situation. You could be in the middle of the worst fight and he would find a way to crack a joke or make you smile. He didn’t like arguing but was famous for coming up with amazing peace offerings. We couldn’t have asked for a better husband, father, son or brother and he will be missed every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him..
He has been a rock to many, a master at sarcastic humor and witty timing to others, and even a glorious pain in the neck, to what I'm sure is a small select few (because no matter what happened between you in your lives, once you were marked as important to him, he'd be by your side if you needed him). There was so much more to him than just a husband or dad, though to us that was his greatest role- he was also a friend, a coworker and colleague, a cousin, brother, stand-in paternal figure to the fatherless, a handyman, artist, garden designer, the list goes on and on.
Flower donations may be made In Memory of Todd to the Evergreen Memorial Park, Evergreen Colorado, 80439.
