Thomas Michael Davis, beloved husband of Donna Tikkanen Davis, passed away unexpectedly on July 23, 2024.
Tom was born September 24, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, the fourth of nine children of George and Christine Davis.
Growing up in Northwest Detroit, he enjoyed a variety of trades and work experiences but ultimately was introduced to the fine art of stonework. He completed a guild craft apprenticeship in waterscapes and hardscapes and started his own company in 1981, specializing in historic restoration.
Tom applied his knowledge to perfecting exact duplication techniques that won him acclaim in the restoration of numerous National Register Projects including the Henry Ford Fair Lane Estate, St Helena Island Light Station and the Henry Ford house. Most recently he applied these skills to his own homes in Michigan and Colorado.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
