(303) 674-7750 Helping During a Time of Loss

Donald Warren Bish

February 9, 1947 - January 20, 2018

Donald Warren Bish passed away on January 20, 2018. He was a resident of Evergreen for 40 enjoyable years. He loved the mountains and living in his Evergreen home. A family mountain cabin was a joy to him too.

Don was born February 9, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas, to Vivian and Cleo Bish. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol; his son Zachary and daughter-in-law Karen of Littleton, Colorado. His sister Janice and brother-in-law Charles reside in Owasso, Oklahoma, along with his niece Tricia and other family members. Two other nieces, Deanna and Linda reside in Onega, Kansas.

Don spent many years working for Lewan and Associates in Denver, and later, traveling nationally for Panasonic Corporation as a technical support specialist.

He had numerous hobbies and loved to tinker. His artistic ability showed thru many times when he built his cigar box guitars, fountains, and numerous metal work and sculptures for our home.

He loved to travel, especially in Europe. The last eight years we were able to do so each year. In 2017, he spent six weeks in Italy with Carol, Zack, and Karen. We are grateful for that memory and time together.

Don had a kind heart and enjoyed helping people. He was described by a neighbor as a light in the neighborhood and one if the most positive people he knew. He was a wonderful husband and a cherished father. We love him so much, and his memory will be with us forever.

I have been friends with Zack for over 30 years. I had the honor and privilege to come to know Don and Carol through Zack. Don was a great man and one of the nicest that I have ever known. Zack always spoke so highly of him and for all good reasons. Don will be missed but never forgotten. He will live on forever in our hearts and minds. I am proud to say that I knew him and will always remember him.

Don came and saw me and my band play a couple of years ago. He was so gracious and really enjoyed the music. His love of life was clear. I was honored to be able to play one of his cigar box guitars. Our condolences to Zack and Karen and the rest of Don’s family.

    Dear Carol,
They say you can tell a lot about parents by how they
raise their children. Both you and Don have raised one
fantastic son who will now be able to comfort and care
for you in your time of need!!
You will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

What a fantastic and true friend we had in Don Bish. He will be missed in so many ways by so many people for his friendship, his humor and for his “always there to help” kind mannerism. We know that he’s with the Lord in perfect peace and health now. God’s blessings be with you Carol, Zack and Karen at this time. We love you.
