Gene Howard Crancer

April 29, 1934 - June 30, 2017

Gene H. Crancer (83) long time Evergreen resident passed away June 30, 2017 at his home with Joann, his beloved wife of 50 years at his side.  He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on April 29, 1934, the son of Ray A. and Jean Howard Crancer.   After the death of his mother, he was raised by his grandparents, George and Lillian Crancer.  He completed high school at East High in Denver, CO, later graduating from the University of Nebraska with a BS in Education.  As a CLU he managed a successful life insurance agency in Denver and was a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table.  Gene enjoyed playing tournament video poker and was inducted into the Tournament Blackjack Hall of Fame.  For many years he followed NU football and rooted for the Corn Huskers and the Denver Broncos. 

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his twin brother, John D. Crancer, his three half siblings Ray Jr., George and Catherine Crancer Spence.  Survivors also include three sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews.  He will be greatly missed by many friends and family members.
