You’re in my thoughts and prayers, Alicia, as you grieve the loss of your father and Reagan’s grandfather. You often spoke of your dad with fondness, love, and concern, and he sounded like a great guy. You have been so fortunate to have had such a special relationship all these years, and also at the end of his life. Strength and serenity to you and your family.

    • Alicia Carpenter says:

Thank you Debbie, he was a very special soul to me and I will miss him dearly! Thank you for your condolences.

What a great guy! My family is sad at the news of his passing as he and Alicia were a wonderful part of our lives for several years. From his musical talents (“Magnolia” was a song he loved to play that will always remind me of him)to his sense of humor to his excavating skills that he taught to Buck…he was a gem. His Dad and Alicia were the most important people in his life and I’m so happy to learn about the new granddaughter, she must have given him great joy. May he rest in peace. We are so sorry for your loss. Margaret, Buck, Aimee and Amanda

I first met Rick back in 1975 -76 He was my sister’s new boyfriend, & soon to be family. We had ALOT of fun back then. He was a hard worker.
And played hard too!! He worked for Uncle Wally . He fell in love with Claudia & Misha. He did everything he could do to win them over. He succeeded. They became a Happy lil family. After several years, they added a new baby girl , Alicia. Rick was so proud. Rick ‘s Dad just beamed with joy. Misha was so happy, to have a baby sister. Life was good. Rick had a great sense of humor. Always laughing.
Had it not been for Rick, I would have never met my husband Jim, 36 yrs ago. Thank you Rick. Rick loved his Mom, Dad & his Brother Jim. He always spoke very highly of them. He will be sorely missed. So happy he got to be a Grandpa. I’m proud to have known him.
