William Armstead

- March 22, 2018

Will Armstead, 69, died suddenly at his home in Pine, Colorado on Thursday, March 22nd, 2018. He was born on July 19th, 1948 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Will is survived by the love of his life, Cathy and daughter and son-in-law, Micah and Matt and son Cade in addition to his four incredible grandsons Keegan, Masson, Cormic and Max.  Will is also survived by his siblings Sue (Bob), Mike (Julee) and Kelly and a wealth of relatives and friends. Will was preceded in death by his parents Seth and June Armstead.  Will had many admirable qualities, but the one he would want memorialized is the love for his wife of 45 years along with his children and other family and friends

Will worked as a Geological Engineer for over 30 years alongside Cathy the love of his life and best friend. He enjoyed a variety of activities: hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding and skiing with his family and friends.

The world is a much better place because of Will’s contagious laughter and love for people, animals and nature. He loved life so fully that he made those around him love life too! His hopes and dreams were to retire, travel and hang out with family and friends. He found peace in sitting by a lake, on top of a mountain or sitting on a horse or resting on a Caribbean Beach with a whiskey and Coke in hand talking with family and friends. Will motto was to live the “cowboy way” to never lie, cheat or steal and to always have God in the center of his life.  He had a deep sense of responsibility to his work and his family and friends. His words were backed by actions. Will lived out his convictions. He would want everyone celebrating his life to remember to value the beauty and simplicity of everyday life and above all to love one another. Will would want us to challenge ourselves, to stretch our minds and to give thanks for the journey. He will be forever remembered for his hard work; bold spirit; off colored sense of humor and sarcasm and everlasting love.
